Next thing I think I need to do is write a little conversion script in PHP or something, that’ll take an embed code from DTV and output a fancier one like you get from capped.tv. Then when I display all recent vids on the left-hand side, with the darkened mouseover hover thingy, I don’t have to manually edit each DTV post from a capped.tv template.I reckon this technique should work nicely enough - although due to Tumblr’s quirks, it first checks the currently displayed content (which it seems only to be able to do once) before re-displaying a content type (video, in this case)…which means when you view the permalink of a given video, you’ll see the same video on the left by itself. Well, I can live with that.
